Even though we live in a beautiful vacation destination, most days here are are spent as they would be if we were living anywhere else in the country. I still have homework due several days a week and Kyle still has to go to work. For almost 2 months Kyle went to Sergeants Course instead of work. It is a course designed to promoted good leadership for the sergeants of the Marine Corps. He had homework and group projects just like if he were taking a college course. On June 8th he had his graduation after almost 2 months of hard work. He was selected to be one of three distinguished graduates in the class. He worked hard and we were very proud to watch him get mentioned during the graduation ceremony.

Receiving his certificate from Sergeant Major |
After he completed Sergeants course, he had more free time to start playing softball on a team from work. He hadn't been able to play very much while he was in school. I enjoy going to watch Kyle play. The kids like to go to the games because they get to play at the park near the field.

Playing second base |
On top of softball games on Mondays and Wednesdays, Alec started his summer soccer season and has practices that same day. He absolutely loves soccer. He has more control of the ball than I did when I was 13 and learning to play. When Kyle's game doesn't overlap with practice, he will come out and help Coach Amy with practice. I have to hand it to the two of them because I don't think I would know how to corral ten 6 year olds and make sure they are paying attention.

Running to catch up with the ball |
Hailey spends the practices running around in the grass near me and being a little ham.

Such a beauty |
Alec's first game is July 9th. For the next couple weeks Kyle is taking some leave and we are hanging out around here. We will spend the time relaxing and probably explore the island a little bit. We are looking forward to having some downtime together. I will make sure to take some pictures of our adventures and hopefully update this again soon.
